History of “The Brazosport Christian Center”
(1982-2014)  32 yrs.
211 South Lazy Lane, Clute, TX 77531

In August 1982, our church was founded as “Branches of Faith” in the home (garage) of  Pastor Buster & Donna White on Bernard Street in Clute, TX. Donald & Sheila Stevens were a part of the founding members (and are still
with the church today).

In 1983 -- Branches of Faith moved from the home of Pastor White because of the continued growth of the church and rented the upstairs of the old Cherry Hill Baptist Church on Shanks Street in Clute (currently a daycare center).

In 1984 -- The church then purchased a building on Hargett Street in Clute (currently the Clute Community Center).

In 1987 -- The church purchased the land and building at 211 S. Lazy Lane, Clute (our current location) and changed the name of the church to “The Brazosport Christian Center.”

In 1989 -- Pastor Scott & Joyce Hayes became the new pastors and expanded the building.

On Sunday, August 25, 2002Pastor Cedric & Anna Johnson were led by God to Clute, Texas and to Brazosport Christian Center with a church vision for BCC “To Impact the World with the Power of the Gospel to See Changed Lives.”
